Archie Manning has had an illustrious career on and off the football field. A standout in high school sports, Archie won a scholarship to Ole Miss where he was named an All-American and was honored by a number retirement. While there he earned the admiration of football legend Bear Bryant who said "He could hurt you in more ways than any other quarterback I've seen--sprinting out, dropping back, throwing while scrambling and running. His most important assets were leadership and the ability to win close games by the force of his personality and talents."

A second round draft pick Archie began a 12 year career as a quarterback for the New Orleans’ Saints in 1971. In 1978 he was inducted into the Saint’s Wall of Fame at the world famous Super Dome and voted the NFL’s most valuable player. He participated in two Pro-Bowls. Following a short stint with the Houston Oilers, he ended his career with the Minnesota Vikings. He is in the top 50 of the league’s top 50 all time pass attempts and completions.

During his football career he devoted much of his free time to charity among them were the Bart Starr Humanitarian Award, the Byron "Whizzer" White Humanitarian Award and the Spirit of Good Award from the National Sportcasters and Sportwriters Assn. The Jaycees honored Archie Manning by placing his name among the 10 Outstanding Young Americans. His compassion extends to the Special Olympics, Boy Scouts, the United Way, and the Salvation Army. Additionally he operates a summer camp for children interested in improving their football passing skills.

A resident of New Orleans, two of his sons have gone on to football greatness. His son Peyton was a talented quarterback for the Univ. of Tennessee before launching a stellar career as the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts. His youngest son, Eli, is already an accomplished passer at Ole Miss.

Today Archie’s uses his football background as a platform from which he can motivate and inspire fans and non-fans alike. With a skillful style peppered with humor, Archie delivers an exciting program about the power of commitment and effective marketing.
